Student opportunities and activities

We provide a wide range of programs both in the classroom and beyond, giving students opportunities to learn new skills, connect with others and explore their passions.

Our programs include:

  • school sport, athletics, cross country and inter-school competitions across the Tweed Coast small schools network

  • creative arts opportunities such as weekly specialist music lessons, art showcases and performance events

  • cultural experiences including NAIDOC Week, Harmony Week and learning through our Dreamtime Pathway and onsite midden

  • excursions to local beaches, cultural sites and community events, and incursions with visiting artists, Elders and experts

  • public speaking opportunities that build confidence and communication skills

  • student leadership pathways through captains, SRC and buddy programs

  • enrichment and extension for high potential and gifted learners across the curriculum, with challenges in literacy, numeracy, STEM, creative arts and a variety of topics and projects

  • environmental and sustainability projects including gardening, bush tucker, recycling and outdoor learning in our natural surroundings.
